Where did that free-kick rate?

In terms of West Ham only.
I'm struggling to think of a better one I've seen, I've been going since late 90's
The distance, power, curl and standard of keeper all factors I think in what made it so good.
Anyone better memories than mine recall a better WHU free-kick?

Free kicks in that area for Payet are almost like penalties for us now

it has to be up there with the best as it was so far out and against a truly great keeper. scholes can fuck off with his criticism of de gea. no keeper gets near that

eggbert, I was going to say Julian hit some screamers from distance but as a set piece, payet's was unreal. as he hits it he starts to run for the celebration

DICKSY'S free-kick Vs Forest at The City Ground in 94/95 springs to mind. Incredible strike. Power (and placement) instead of bending it though.
Of course, this one is much better though. Surely 'Goal of The Month'?

Normally I like scholes' scathing criticism
But blaming de France for that is ridiculous. The speed, bend and placement on the strike were perfect. No keeper gets near those.

De Gea should have saved it according to everyone I've heard on the wireless so far.
Absolute bollocks. The way it curved at the last minute to clip the inside of the post was absolutely superb.
We were watching him warming up before the game, he must have hit about six from that distance and they all went wide. When it matters though...

when see it from behind as it's hit it's going over the bar and either down the middle or to the other side of the goal to where it went in
you can't blame a keeper for that
